Rabies vaccinations
In light of a new legal interpretation regarding rabies vaccination validity periods issued by the General Veterinary Inspectorate in Poland, please be advised that the vaccination must be valid for the duration of the competition.
It does not, however, need to be valid for a full year—as previously stated. The vaccination may have a validity period of two or three years (depending on the vaccine manufacturer’s specifications).
To ensure the well-being and safety of all animals, the following requirements should be met:
- Internal deworming: This should be performed between 0 and 30 days prior to arrival.
- External deworming: must be performed within 0 to 30 days prior to arrival.
- Veterinary certificate: a document confirming compliance with the above requirements. A template of the document can be downloaded by clicking here. The completed document must be presented during the veterinary inspection.
- Important: In accordance with animal welfare and protection regulations, all chain or choke collars must be equipped with a "Stop" safety mechanism (a component or fastening that prevents the animal from choking)

important information
Your stay in Poland with a dog
- Cleaning up dog excrement is mandatory
- In cities, dogs must be kept on a leash and their behavior must be monitored in public places
- Provide your dog with appropriate living conditions
- You can keep your dog in a car in a crate or in a trailer, but protect it from the weather. In Poland, there's an unwritten law to break a car window if a passerby thinks your dog might suffocate or die from overheating. If your car is locked, you're not around, but you have the air conditioning on and your dog is comfortable, write a note visible from the outside, with the following text in Polish: „W SAMOCHODZIE DZIAŁA KLIMATYZACJA – PIES JEST BEZPIECZNY!!!”
